Ah Yat Abalone

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I’d went to Ah Yat Abalone for CNY dinner with some friends. It was a wonderful experience as I never had so many abalones one shot in life !! lol …

The promotion package was quite cheap as it was only RM450 + for 5 person (all you see in the picture except crispy pork and the wine), we ordered that separately and the bill sums up to RM500 ++. The food variety are generally typical but it’s really tantalizing and mouth watering … !!

The only bad thing was that the waiters and waitresses are quite stuck up!!! The face is basically “black” all the while … when you order, face black; when you ask for extra order, face black; ask to add tea, face black; They should really look into this and improve the customer service …

All in all, it’s worth the try !!

Serdang Lat Tong (Spicy Soup)

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Spicy soup and Fah Tiew Kai (Small piece of chicken in thick soy sauce) are quite a fmous food among the KL-rian. They’re quite a few nice stalls and mostly I found are located in Serdang … Not too sure whether it’s an coincident though :P

I have been visiting this shop almost every month. It just a small shop but always packed with people. What makes the Fah Tiew Kai so delicious is that they’d marinated the chicken for a day or so until the taste really sips into it. Then they cook using claypot and served using it as well. The thick soy sauce gravy is so tantalising that you can mix it with your rice to slowly enjoy it.

Restaurant Dong Bei Cai – 东北菜

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

If you fancy food with a bit of spices try “Restaurant Dong Bei Cai – 东北菜”. Just like the restaurant’s name, it describes the origin of where the food comes from, which is the North East part of China. Here are some of the dishes that we tried, it’s really delicious.

Excuse me, please let me jump queue for introducing the main dish first, cuz it’s really really nice. I personally like this dish a lot and it’s call “Spicy tofu cook with pork and assorted mushroom” or we call it “水煮肉片” in chinese. This dish serve in a big portion where u can share among 2-3 people. It’s a bit hot but at the same time it’s really delicious!
