Seafood is something i can’t resist! I always have a passion on that since very very young …. especially CRABS!!! People have been telling me that Penang has the “nicest” and “cheapest” seafood, but i totally disagree on that … As i’ve found a few good seafood restaurants in KL as well …. One of the spot is Telok Gong, i think most KL-rian would have knew ’bout this !

“Wong Kam” Crab
When it comes to crab, Bukti Tambun (one of the famous seafood spot in Penang) can’t be compared to Telok Gong (Port Klang) in terms of varities. In penang, crabs are usually in sweet and sour flavour or steamed … however, in KL, u can have crabs cook with ducks’ yolk (the “wong kam hai”)and trust me, it’s superb! You don’t get this in Penang … another flavour which Penangite need to try is the marmite flavour.

The name of this restaurant alone reminds me of the organization once mentioned in the famous book of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, Opus Dei. However, this Opus is something for anyone looking for fine dining experience. This is especially true for the amatures. I would strongly recommend this place if you are just looking for something a little different from the normal TGIF or Victoria Station. Here, the choice of food is limited to French and I believe that a little knowledge of French might help a lot. Although the menu might have a pinch of French words in it, you are still able to identify from spagetthi to beef to fish. Servings might also be a little small in general but by the time dessert arrives, you will find your tummy full.

One thing I love more than Japanese food is fusion food. Why? Because we all get to choose from a variety of food. Kiwi Xpress offers selections of western food and local food. The ambience is good if you are looking for a place to hang out and relax. They also offer varieties of sandwiches and cakes for your eyes only! The cakes are not too great but hey! we are there only for the main course right? They also have set menus priced at RM29.90++ which includes soup of the day, the main dish (6 types of servings to choose from), kiwi juice and dessert.
If you think that set deals are too pricy, you can go for the local delicacy such as nasi lemak ayam which is priced at RM8.90++. Food there are perhaps slightly higher than what you can get outside because Kiwi Xpress not only sells food, but they also sell the cooling ambience.
